Hello, I'm Lucía.
I'm a New York-based designer with 18+ years of experience creating packaging, print materials, illustrated books, retail advertising, and product launches.
I've worked as a designer, illustrator, project manager, production lead, and sometimes the person called in when a project needs a little extra problem solving. That mix has made me adaptable, resourceful, and endlessly curious.
While packaging and production are where I spend most of my time these days, my experience spans publishing, retail, marketing, and product development. I love the behind-the-scenes side of creative work just as much as the finished piece. Dielines are kind of my thing. So are press checks, vendor relationships, troubleshooting weird issues, and even the spreadsheet quietly holding an entire project together.
Whether it's packaging, a book, or a marketing campaign, my goal is simple: make it look great, make it work, and make it something people connect with.
When I'm not designing, I'm usually hyper-fixating on a new creative hobby, cooking something overly ambitious for a weeknight, spending time with my family, or admiring packaging I absolutely did not need but couldn't resist bringing home.
How my brain works.
2. Design solutions.
Make it useful. Make it beautiful.
3. Make it come to life.
Dielines, printers, specs and lots of coordinating.
4. Get it out the door.
Without hiccups or chaos. Ideally.
1. Concept & planning.
From sketches to concepts of a plan.
